It's sad to see the creator grow older. To think one day this product I consume and love will end. I'm at a crossroad of do I want him to end Spawn while he's in his prime or keep pushing it out until the end.

If spawn become the next level S class demon he would became very powerful if he master his charaka if he faced a power enemy. If his power of an S class demon his power is part S and because if he has the abilities of the other cosmic energy but the hellspawn have their abilities right if the negetive with the negetive S of an S the positive is an S of an. S and his power his sceret light energy part 1 with negetive S of an S part 1 but when part 2 the positive S is with the S between mind body then soul he would be activities his charaka network with S after S is part 1A and B and part 2 it is the positive Part 2 is C and D but with all of her charaka network is become one with all the negetive will become positive so positive A is a 7 with the positive and with the negetive B is also with the negetive B but also with C is the both negetive and positive he could also used that his charaka or even the shaft in his cape will become part A is C D and part 2 B is E and S but not only that he would become fully human then he would also became a light and the darkness if he would released his charaka red yellow or green charaka or the black charaka also but if he could used his satanic power inside of him that the abilities he would never aware of he would be able to master that satanic power within himself become one with these elements of earth fire then air he would definitely master his demonic power first when he master air fire then wood his skin his humanity would become truely free then then part A and B then C then D both on his heart his arm then his legs is A and B then C he would have tranform into the most beast ever if he master his charaka top of his head's is A then B his heart then all the way to his feet but his green power would become a light cosmic energy but his symbote his suit hellspawn is alive and used it also it going to became like defences but he is going to became one with the scaft shrine. and part D is E then E is an A but he wanted to see winda and his daughter he have to fight enemy after enemy his desire to see his family winda then her daughter again he must make a choice become a hero or villian to keep the world safe he would become the fying sourcer but he would destroy his maker then break free from himself then he would feels an Angel within himself he wouldn't no longer became hellspawn anymore he would also became an angel of spawn like an K class but not only he would have. This abilities he would also see the light his sins he would also forgiven himself of that realesed his gult and his anger , his doubt his fall and also his immortality of himself will be reborn again by defeated his last enemy then he will become the new spawn the force of light his power would become positive H of H and of X rank of the all angelic but spawn would become master his new power so X would became of an X of his power that is the positive with another positive is Y of another Y then another positive would add of his body on the inside then out another Y positive he would realesed all of them together then the old man as merlin he mixed up the fomin of his magic it going to help him of his process to get rid of his cursed but when he finally destroy his maker like I said. He felted his Angel within himself but he would became like the fire interno but no longer he would became spawn anymore but the spawn of the light. If x is= to y then part E become A C then his soul will became very very pure but the answer is Xy that is how many time he is going to find his redemption within himself then if XY is the price and his discount will become Z+y or y+Z is the finally answer of his sins but this charaka of spawn it truely amazing. Very amazing so Z+y or Y+Z is the final answer to the equation but if his yang or yin finally became one not only that but his immortality regain a restore from his mind body then soul if X+y is and y+Z it would become I +c or C+I is the second final answer because it is the second of spawn he would finished his mission to protecting his loved one so the second final answer is I +c or C+I it is the answer to that equations so that is the idea's from gaining his New power then have his freedom then the idea's of spawn is good man how did you that how did you that it generous and genius I dont known if you are going to take my word for it but it a good story man it good but I am not here to offences to anybody but it a good idea's for spawn to regain his new power I like that idea's I like that idea's it differences than the other charaka that I never read it good very good

This is the most conceded, pretentious, overrated wannabe "comic creator" in the biz. This guy HATED signing Spider-man comics in the 90's. He would literally curse people and tell them to leave the convention. Yea.... He's a real "professional".

I started reading Amazing Spider-Man around issue 280 or so and I LOVED McFarlane's run with David Micheline. I'm not going to lie though -- his solo Spider-Man book made it pretty clear that the writing is pretty damn important and that most artists not named Frank Miller cannot do both well. Same goes for Liefeld, Silvestri, and all the others, and especially Jim Lee (who didn't even pretend to be an artist/writer and had a writer for his two creations, WildCATS and Gen13). Never a Spawn fan either.

How does this inspirational video not have millions and millions of views???!!! I feel more empowered and enthusiastic about my own project s im working on right now because so many people have told me I'll never make any of them work and Todd McFarlane shows you that believing in yourself, then doing what you always wished you would do about your life is a sure fire way to get where you want to be. Thank you for making this video and thank you, Todd, for inspiring so many. I have enjoyed countless hours appreciating the spawn characters and story, it has been a remarkably big part of my life and through all the struggles that Todd talks about from having a creative mind that doesn't work the same way as others helps me realize it's not as much of a curse if I do my best to use it. Crazy how impacted I feel right now. Thank you again, so much.

People keep saying IMAGE caused the speculators' market, but speculators in comics had been around since the 70s as dealers hoarded copies of Howard the Duck #1 in their storerooms, waiting until shelf copies sold out then flipping their stashes at higher costs. What Image did was draw a lot of mainstream attention to the comic market, and speculators suddenly had a new collectable commodity to grasp hold of.

Back in the day I vividly remember the comic book fever that many had. I was a long time collector. My favorites to this day were the Frank Miller Daredevil and Batman. The explosion of the comic book popularity I knew was a very short lived thing. As a business man I respect McFarlane and I respect what Image comics represents. However, many of the Image characters and stories are nothing more than rip offs of other characters and stories. Spawn is basically a mix of Batman, Ghost Rider, the Punisher, and Spider-Man. Personally not impressed. Spawn basically lives in Gotham City or Hell's Kitchen - whichever way you see it. It's not all that original. The huge problem of all that is it caused the entire comic book industry to collapse and go bankrupt. In the early 90's Marvel was insanely popular and wealthy. In the late 90's they went bankrupt. Not good. That was all because they went to the well too often with all the alternate covers to X-Men and Spider-Man and sucked the life out of comics. Comics were becoming, less and less, not sold in grocery stores, department stores, and gas stations. Even today there are some second printings of comics that are more valuable than the first printings. Hated what McFarlane and company did to the industry. Yes, I do agree with the fact that artists do get walked on at DC and Marvel. They're huge corporations who don't give a crap about anyone. Yet, I get drawn to Valiant comics more than image. Just me.

What a great documentary. I couldn't stand McFarlane back in the early 90's. I think he's an alright dude now though. On top of his fantastic art, he has left a lot of egg on the faces of a lot of corporate douchebags - and for that - I love the guy. Spawn should drag the beancounters to hell, where they belong. Let the artists do their shit, their way. You're just a beancounter. Go count your beans. Oh, you might also want to properly pay homage to the people who get you all those beans... hindsight being 20/20 and all.

Back in the early 1990s, I attended a small comic con over at The Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. I recall some pretty impressive guest stars whom made the con bigger than what it was. For instance; there was both; Adam West & Burt Ward. The cast from the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". The "legendary" Stan Lee. And of coarse; Todd McFarlane; just to name a few. At this time; I wasn't nearly the McFarlane fan I am now. So much of my attention was drawn mainly to Stan Lee. And believe it or not, while there was a consistent mob drawn to Todd's area, Stan was pretty much left alone. (*to this day that aspect really baffles me*) What was cool is that both me, and my brother, almost had Stan Lee all to ourselves. There were no lines to see Stan Lee. So we both, more or less, simply hung out with Stan, and had pictures taken with him. It was pure awesomeness. But back to Todd. On the second day of the con, we decided to wait in line to meet Todd McFarlane, and get some autographs. The endless line wrapped around some tables which impaired our view of Todd. In his place was what appeared to be his personal team who had various McFarlane comics & prints, for sale, in case someone wanted something a little extra to be signed by Todd by the time he, or she, got there. One of his "team" I found pretty stunning. I've always had a crush on Meg Ryan. And to me, this lady looked much like her. So being that there were no flies on me, I steadied myself before finally reaching her. Wearing a classic John Romita Sr. Spider-Man shirt, I tried inventing a decent line, and asked her if she'd be interested in having dinner with me sometime. In a kind response, she thanked me for the offer, but said, "I'm married to Todd", pointing around the tables towards him. In response, I apologized, telling her I didn't know. Truly, this was one of my most remembered embarrassing moments. So now, looking at this post, this is the very first time I've seen "Mrs". McFarlane since that fateful day, so many years ago. And I've gotta say; "I'll be darned if she didn't look like Meg Ryan". Anyway, if Todd McFarlane happens to be reading this post; to him I say, "I am sorry for asking out your wife. Not only are you an incredible artist, but you also have amazing taste in women, sir. And if you don't already know it; you're blessed." Signed, Daniel

This dude is the reason why I like Spiderman and why I LOVE Spawn. Although I have to admit, I've never collected or read many Spiderman comics but when this dude started drawing Spidey back in the late 80s and/or 90s he got my full attention. His art style appealed to me as a black kid from the ghetto. I was into graffiti as a Hip Hop visual art and this sort of art was taking off at that time when african america art could be seen everywhere but mostly on t-shirts and it was a distinctive art choice where you see extreme and bold exaggerations from the size of the eyes to the big baggy clothes and to the color patterns. I was all edgy, hardcore and a little aggressive in comparison to what we had up until then- the Spawn shit just really blew me away! Spawn of course was a black man and the comic book was one of the first that dealt with graphic death and much much worse subjects. But the art was just so beautiful, it was like graffiti in a comic book. Still today, when ever I see one of his classic Spiderman drawings where Spidey is leaping through the sky all bent and contorted while jezzing web everywhere, I stop and I look at that shit. He made his shit worth looking at- it was not boring. Being an artist from the ghetto I can identify with that and respect it. I like edgy art. I like threatening art. I like aggressive art. I like bold art. I like art that push the envelop- its art! It ain't supposed to be safe. I love this dude and I love what he gave us.

Gotta give mad props to Todd for having a vision and carrying it out and inspiring others, not to follow in his path, but to blaze their own.

I really wish there were an Image Cinematic Universe. Spawn, Invincible, The Savage Dragon, etc all on the same screen would be epic.
